General Info


With its compact central business district, everything in Auckland is in close proximity. The SKYCITY Convention Centre is centrally located and you can generally get to your desired location with a maximum 15-minute walk in any direction.

The city LINK bus is an excellent way to get around the central city and there's also a hop-on, hop-off bus around the city fringe. During your free time, it's also easy to leave the city behind for a while and explore the Auckland region.
There are many tour companies with a range of products from short sightseeing trips to whole day tours - a great option for groups. Please see below for activities in Auckland.

With Auckland being a waterside city there's also a network of frequent ferries to explore the beautiful harbour and islands. It's just 12 minutes by ferry to the scenic seaside village of Devonport or 35 minutes to Waiheke, the stunning 'island of wine'.

Plus, for those keen to be self-sufficient, driving arounf the Auckland region is relatively easy. As with any major city, it's best to travel outside the morning and evening rush hours where possible, to avoid delays.

Auckland War Memorial Museum:

Sky Tower: 
A truly captivating experience awaits visitors to Auckland’s Sky Tower. At 328 metres, it is the tallest man-made structure in new Zealand and offers breath taking views for up to 80 kilometres in every direction.

Auckland Harbour Bridge:
The Auckland Harbour Bridge is an eight-lane box truss motoway bridge over the Waitemata Harbour, joining St Marys Bay in Auckland with Northcote in the former North Shore City. Auckland Bungy Jumping traces its roots back to 1987 when the activity was still “not technically legal” and AJ Hackett first jumped off the Auckland Habrour Bridge.

In each place we visit, we sample the produce, finishing with a light lunch at the end of the tour.
